Arthur Conway Smith

Architect

Conway Smith was born in Freeport, Bahamas in 1975 and studied Architecture at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA.  Here he obtained his Bachelors of Architecture degree and a Masters degree in Construction Management.

Conway joined Phillips Partnership where he was involved in a wide range of projects with his direct responsibility being the development of most of the Urban Outfitter retail chains along the east coast USA.   His experience combined with LEED Certification has enabled him to engage in a variety of environmentally conscious developments. Conway believes that architecture is a social art form and his design philosophy is one of contextualism while reaching synthesis between aesthetic expression and function.

Conway has served in many different roles in the architectural and construction community and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Georgia Chapter.  He joined Alexiou & Associates in 2011 and is one of the coordinating architects for the $400 million expansion of the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
