Good design begins with the people who will use it. We bring their experience into the process, so each place is shaped by the life it needs to support.
We bring the people who will use, operate and maintain a building into the design process early. Their knowledge helps define the brief, test decisions and expose what a drawing alone cannot.
Workshops, shared reviews and site conversations keep those decisions open to scrutiny. The result is a design shaped by how the place will actually work.
Aviation puts that method under pressure. A live airside brings authorities, airlines, security, customs, concessionaires and ground handling into one process. Phasing must allow construction and daily operations to coexist. Each decision has to hold up across those different needs.

Based in Nassau, Alexiou + Associates works across architecture, interiors and masterplanning. Our perspective is shaped by nearly five decades of practice in The Bahamas.
We bring the same attention to airport infrastructure, shared landscapes and individual buildings: understand the setting, resolve the brief, and make the experience clear.
about the studio↗We use digital models to examine how the parts of a building fit together. Plans, sections and schedules carry those decisions into the drawing set.
